Springsteen hits the UK - setlist/report/video
Springsteen & the E Street band played two sold out concerts at London's Emirates Stadium over the weekend. Needless to say he more than lived up to his reputation as the Boss.
Rockbeatstone was in attendance for the first gig on Friday. He played for more than two and a half hours and packed in a massive 28 songs. This is no golden-oldie tribute show, no run of the mill performance for the money. He was inspired, passionate and left every single concert goer in awe.
He mixed up the classics with songs from his recent album Magic and the setlist was River heavy with 'Point Blank', 'Ties that Bind' and 'Cadillac Ranch' among some of the favourites. The encore was particularly passionate with fans singing along to classics like 'Thunder Road', 'Born to Run', 'Glory Days' and the ten minute plus, 'Rosalita' from his 1974 album, The Wild, the Innocent and the E-Street Shuffle.
On Saturday he again took to the stage and included some tour premieres, 'I'm on Fire' and 'Downbound Train'.
