Springsteen tour update
We've got a video of Tommy Morello from Rage Against the Machine joining Springsteen on stage for an electric (in all senses) version of The Ghost of Tom Joad and all the news from the US leg of his tour.
In fact, the news bit is really just an excuse to share this video with you which is absolutely amazing. The Rage Against the Machine frontman shares singing duties and adds amazing guitar licks to this song which was originally an acoustic gem.
Setlist-wise, the tour seems to be opening up as the E-Street band have regained their confidence. Prior to each show, fans can vote on some song choices and Springsteen has even been taking requests from fans with signs at the front and has reduced the number of Magic songs to around six a night. The setlist of the last night's show in Anaheim, California was as follows:
1. Thunder Road
2. Radio Nowhere
3. Lonesome Day
4. Gypsy Biker
5. Murder Inc.
6. Magic
7. Atlantic City
8. Candy's Room
9. Reason To Believe
10. Prove It All Night
11. Because The Night
12. She's The One
13. Livin' In The Future
14. The Promised Land
15. Brilliant Disguise
16. Ghost of Tom Joad w/Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine)
17. Last To Die
18. Long Walk Home
19. Badlands
20. Out In The Street
21. Meeting Across The River
22. Jungleland
23. Born To Run
24. Dancing In The Dark
25. American Land
The tour continues across the US and into Europe where Rockbeatstone will be in attendance for gigs in London and Helsinki. Expect reports and full reviews then.
