We've got loads of new stuff for you to get your teeth into - a night of live music, a new mixtape, and new reviews.

First things first, come to Backstreets, London's best new music gig night at the Windmill in Brixton on Friday 2nd May.  With Black Daniel, The Cubical, Chalou Saint Jude, and Voluntary Butler Scheme it promises to be the best one yet!  Tickets are £4 on the door or in advance from here.  More info and links over at the Backstreets section of Rockbeatstone.  We've also set up a 'fan page' on facebook so log on and become a fan!

Content-wise, we've got the return of the Rockbeatstone Mixtape!  Ten songs chosen by Rockbeatstone for your listening pleasure.  We've also got a new system, so it's easier than ever to hear the songs.  It features the new Wilco song, as well as tracks from the Dodos, Violent Femmes, Whiskycats, Neutral Milk Hotel and much, much more.

Review wise we've got the track reviews for April featuring a great new English band called Whiskycats, who should take the world by storm, and album reviews of the Charlatans recent offering, You Cross My Path and the Raconteurs second album, Consolers of the Lonely.  Expect a review the Indelicates debut album soon.  Live-wise we've got an absolutely awesome review of Wilco's five night residency at the Chicago Vic Theatre by new contributor Sean where the band played every single song they have ever recorded live (!) and a review of the Hold Steady at Koko should be on its way to you soon.

Rockbeatstone TV will be back mid-April with a host of new videos for you to watch.  In the meantime, we've got March's edition which includes new band MGMT as well as Neil Young live on his Euro Tour 2008, and classic live footage from Uncle Tupelo, the Hold Steady and Bob Dylan.
